Godot Wild Jam 18

Plague was developed for Godot Wild Jam 18, a week look jam where participants use the Godot Game Engine.

The main theme was "Plague" but there were also 3 additional wildcards, which we used:

  • 80s style
  • Random/Chance elements
  • Weather/rain

The game is open source (Apache License), check out the repository.

There is a bug, if you press attack while doing the dash, the character goes very fast.

I got to say the retro 80s music and the 8-bit pixel is a nice touch. I noticed there is no way to pause the game. Is it included? As for my feedback, does game included a variety of weapons upgrade and map, but if not the game may need it to enhance the gaming experience. Also, the game needs an inventory so that the player can look up the maps, weapons, and item acquire. My last suggestion is the game needs a setup for how many video-game lives the player has, 1-up item, save state within the level, continue and game over that leads to restarting the game that adds an engaging challenge to the game play. I hope this suggestion would help your game.

Thanks for your feedback Mario ๐Ÿ™Œ.

This game was a game jam entry and was developed in a week by two people with full-time jobs. Therefore, the time we could put into the game was quite limited. Otherwise, we would have included a few more features! ๐Ÿš€

I totally understand.

Fun and good choose using the Godot Engine

Thanks! ๐Ÿ‘

But their is a glitch. Try dashing while attacking, your character will break.

Ha! excellent point. We didn't catch it during the jam ๐Ÿ˜…

When I try to run it in the web browser (Chrome) I get: Cannot read property 'getParameter' of undefined

I think that is because of privacy settings. The game works on Chrome and Firefox.

I'm trying on Chrome on Windows and I get this error. On the Linux the error won't appear
